Dear Parent(s)/Guardian(s) of a Top Senior candidate,
The Charlotte Post Foundation celebrates academic achievements of the top African American high school seniors in Charlotte- Mecklenburg schools.
Each year Charlotte-Mecklenburg Schools identifies a list of candidates who meet the criteria for a Charlotte Post Foundation Top Senior. I am excited to inform you that your child is eligible to be recognized as one of this year’s top performing African American seniors.
Participants in the Top Senior program will receive an honorary certificate, be included in the complimentary Top Senior commemorative magazine, (http://tcpfdn.org/2025TSyrbk) and be invited to participate in the Top Senior Recognition Ceremony.
In addition, The Charlotte Post Foundation will also select a Senior of the Year and runner-up to receive college scholarships for their exemplary academic excellence, a profile spread in the commemorative magazine along with celebratory honors at the Top Senior Recognition Ceremony in May 2026. Last year’s ceremony can be viewed by following this link: 2025TSVideo.
Your child will need to complete an application to participate in the program. Please ensure that your child completes the following as part of the application process:
1. Online application and essay. http://tcpfdn.org/CMSTSapp
2. An upload of a current color head shot of your child. Photograph must be of school yearbook or prom quality. The high school yearbook advisor may be able to help with a suitable photo.
3. An upload of your child’s transcript.
The submission deadline for all items listed must be received by 11:59 PM, January 31, 2026.
We commend you and your child in your commitment to achieving academic excellence. Please contact me if you have more questions. To learn more about the Top Senior Program, visit our website at http://tcpfdn.org/FDNcontedu.
